FAQ

How do you say your name?

Lynnea: it's not Lynne-B, not Lynne-C, but Lynne-A.
What can I say, I have creative parents!

What if I am not an artist?

Don't worry!  I have purposefully developed this art ministry so it is accessible to women from all walks of life who have a creative spirit and a love for the Word.  Watch the free tutorials and you'll see that you can do it too!

Are you a professional artist?

Yes, I have an art licensing business and my work can be found at www.lynneawashburn.com.

What happens if I make a mistake?

I'm so glad you asked!  Although there is no right or wrong way to create your FaithArt journal, sometimes we just goof...misspell a word, stamp something upside down, or just really, really don't like something on a page.  I've done all these things!  So I've made a blooper reel for you, showing you ways to fix some common errors (to go there, click on the button below).   Remember, God does not ask for our perfection, only for our obedience.  So be easy on yourself, and don't let the imperfections get in your way.

Do the inks stain?

The inks we use are water-based and clean up with soap and water (or detergent).  They also wear off your hands in about a day, however some colors are more staining than others (reds) and may take a little longer.  Note: please do not use alcohol inks.

How can I use my journal in-between courses?

You can use your journal between bible studies in the following ways:  journal about a meaningful Sunday message from your church; or about a simulcast/live event/book from a favorite bible study teacher; or about a bible scripture/passage that currently speaks to you, or you can journal your prayers...for yourself and others, and also journal when prayers are answered.  I suggest inking a few pages prior to knowing what you'll be writing, so it's ready when you are!

Can I find this kind of  "FaithArt" being done everywhere?

Not yet!  Early on, I searched for any and every type of creative expression related to Christianity in hopes I could find something already figured out that I could just replicate.  I found a handful of people doing various visual explorations that were inspiring, but realized I had to come up with something that more closely aligned with what God called me to do; to write/design a creative bible study any women could do.  In that search, I came across a few descriptive terms being used; Christian art, visual faith, faith journaling, and faith art, among others.  Deciding on the logo "FaithArt" with the tag line "Creative Christian Bible Study" felt like a perfect match to what I was doing.

My Own FAQ's!

You may have questions, and you know what?  So do I!  Developing online courses is a new venture for me, and I welcome your input (and patience)!  So feel free to five me advice, I'd like to know what you think!
