Hi, my name is Lynnea Washburn. I've been a Christian for a long time, but I would say I've been a true believer since 1996. I've also been an artist for a long time, but a self-employed working artist since 1997 (my professional website is www.lynneawashburn.com). Additionally, I enjoy life in my various roles of wife, mother, daughter and sister. I am a cancer survivor (Lymphoma), and subsequent heart failure survivor, and I thank God for each day He gives me!
Upon seeking a way to bless God, He led me to discover this cool creative thing I call FaithArt. Through it, I can serve Him and do all the things I love (isn't that just like Him?). These include research, writing, and creating art. It thrills me to share what I've learned about God's word with other women through a unique hands-on artistic experience. Wow, who knew! Since 2014, I have been developing this art ministry and teaching from my home studio. The kinds of women who join in are mothers, crafters, engineers, church leaders, nurses, quilters, professionals and non-professionals, just to name a few. So many different walks, yet all sisters in Christ with a heart to seek Him. I hope you consider giving it a try, I believe you'll find it both meaningful and fun! In Christ, Lynnea |
What I BelieveI believe there is one true God existing in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Everything I have come to know about God has been through my relationship with His son, Jesus Christ, and through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God is all powerful, all knowing, and is all places.
I believe God is perfect, and loves me perfectly. I believe that the same God who created all things also knows my heart intimately, and loves me despite my missteps and failings. I believe that all things are under His command, and therefore He is capable of the simple task of writing a book. It’s called the bible, and I believe it is the inspired word of God, holy, true, alive, and the final authority of all matters in our lives. I believe that Christ died on the cross for my sins, and paid a debt that belonged to me. He was resurrected so that I may have eternal life with God, and life abundant here on earth. I believe there is one pathway to life with God which is available to all, and that is through His son, Jesus. I believe that Christ now sits at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for me in this life. Until I am with Him in heaven, Jesus has given the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide, teach and counsel me through this world. Through bible study, Godly people, Spirit-led churches, worship, prayer, and personal experience, I have learned much about the Lord, and yearn to know more. It is my desire to continue to grow this living, loving relationship with my Father...to please Him, yield to Him, and to bring Him glory. |
